The rhythm was said to echo the heart beat of the Earth Mother.
The hand with swirl in the center is known as the "Shaman's Hand".
It is a symbol of healing and protection.
The decorated rawhide rattle head is approximately 2" in diameter.
The wooden handle is hand painted and accented with horse hair
and hanging loop.
