Saddle Bronc

on Sandstone Base

Almost every ranch hand and cowboy had to ride a bucking horse as part of his daily work.

The cowboy starts his ride by "marking" his horse out of the chute. His spurs must be over the horse's shoulders as the horse's front feet touch the ground or he will be disqualified. The cowboy must ride for a full eight seconds and is judged how well his ride is synchronized with the horse's movements.
